Meet Dr. Marisa
Dr. Marisa Linkroum, PT
FounderI’m Dr. Marisa Linkroum, a licensed pediatric physical therapist with over six years of experience working with infants and young children. I specialize in early motor development and the treatment of infants with developmental concerns.
I am passionate about helping babies build the strength, movement, and confidence they need to reach important developmental milestones. My clinical experience includes supporting infants with concerns such as torticollis, plagiocephaly (flat head), delayed rolling, crawling, and walking, and challenges with tummy time.
Through First Steps Pediatric Therapy, I provide personalized pediatric physical therapy in the comfort of your home, creating a relaxed and familiar environment for your child. Treating children in their natural environment allows me to see how they move during everyday routines and provide strategies that fit seamlessly into your family’s daily life.
This approach helps bridge the gap between clinical recommendations and real-life application, allowing parents to feel confident implementing strategies right where challenges occur. By addressing concerns early and within the home environment, we can more effectively support your child’s development and work together toward meaningful progress.
I believe that early guidance and intervention can make a powerful difference in a child’s development, and empowering parents is one of the most important parts of pediatric therapy.
I’m proud to support families throughout Central Jersey and help children take their first steps toward healthy movement and development.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Marisa continues to call NJ home, where she lives with her husband, their daughter, and their dog. Becoming a parent herself has further deepened her passion for helping families feel supported and confident as their children grow and reach important developmental milestones.
Dr. Marisa earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and has focused her career on pediatric physical therapy, specializing in infant development and early motor milestones.
